About Me
I am a physical chemistry graduate student interested in studying the surface of aerosol particles as they undergo heterogenous oxidation. I will use the ALS to apply X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to probe the surfaces of aerosol particles as they react with gaseous oxidants. From these measurements I will learn about the chemical composition of an aerosol particle’s surface and the kinetics of its oxidation providing a molecular level understanding of the factors that contribute to aerosol growth and reactivity.
